  • Brings a cozy, comforting aroma to your daily rituals
  • Alcohol-free and made with gentle, botanical ingredients
  • Versatile formula—can be used as a personal mist or room spray
  • Naturally layered scent blends warm woods, spice, and citrus

Base Recipe

  • 92.4 g Distilled Water
  • 12.0 g Witch Hazel (alcohol-free)
  • 3.6 g Vegetable Glycerin
  • 2.4 g Geogard ECT (Preservative)
  • 0.72 g Sweet Orange EO (approx. 18 drops)
  • 0.36 g Balsam Fir EO (approx. 9 drops)
  • 036 g Cedarwood Virginian EO (approx. 9 drops)
  • 0.18g Vanilla CO₂ (approx. 4-5 drops)
  • 0.09 g Cardamom CO₂ (approx. 2-3 drops)
  • 0.09 g Ginger CO₂ (approx. 2-3 drops)

Tools Needed

  • Digital scale
  • Small mixing beakers
  • Glass stirring rod or spoon
  • Fine mist 4 oz glass spray bottle
  • Small funnel
  • Pipettes or droppers (for essential oils and preservative)
  • pH test strips or meter (option but recommended)

Instructions

  1. Sanitize all tools, containers, and workspace before starting.
  2. In a clean beaker, combine distilled water and witch hazel. Stir gently.
  3. Add vegetable glycerin and mix well.
  4. In a separate small container, measure and blend all essential oils and CO₂ extracts.
  5. Add the essential oil blend directly into the water mixture. Stir slowly.
  6. Check the pH of your formulation using pH strips or a pH meter. Geogard ECT performs best between pH 4.0 – 6.0 (ideal ≈ 4.5 – 5.5). If pH is above 6.0, lower it drop by drop with a 10% citric acid solution. If pH is below 4.0, raise it gradually with a 10% sodium bicarbonate solution.
  7. Stir and retest until the pH is within range.
  8. Ensure the mixture is at room temperature (below 45 °C / 113 °F), then add Geogard ECT preservative and mix thoroughly.
  9. Pour into a 4 oz mist glass bottle using a funnel.
  10. Cap tightly. Label your bottle with the product name, date made, and key ingredients to ensure freshness and safe use.
  11. Allow to sit 24 hours before first use to let the scent meld.

Usage & Storage

This mist is designed to support both your skincare and atmospheric rituals. Mist it lightly over your body after a bath or shower for a soft, lingering scent, or spritz into the air before meditation or journaling to create a calming ambiance. For facial use, mist gently at a distance with eyes closed. Always shake well before each use to evenly disperse the essential oils. The warm, spiced aroma layers beautifully with other body care in your seasonal ritual.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Shake well before each use to evenly disperse the natural oils. Avoid misting directly into the eyes or on broken skin. This formulation contains natural botanical ingredients, which may cause allergic or sensitization reactions in some individuals. We recommend performing a patch test before first use. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. For external use only.
